BRIAN ANDREW LEWIS
-28-
-School Social Worker-
-Male-
-Personality-
Given his past as a bullied kid, Brian has a passion for helping those who need it the most and who very often are not asking or it. It is the primary reason he chose the career field he did. Outward, he can show a calm, outgoing and easygoing demeanor, but inside: while he still maintains a degree of silliness so to speak, he harbors a serious side that guides him as he works with each and every one one his clients. As with most social workers, he has perfected a personal shield that allows him to see the worse of humankind and not go crazy himself. Though there are many nights where he goes home to cry over a beer or three.
He can be a bit awkward at times, and he has a sense of humor that gets him into trouble from time to time, but to those who look past those flaws and see what kind of person he is, can all him a loyal and good friend willing to literally give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it more. He loves to have fun, but can really get down to business if the need arises.
-Appearance-
Brian may have started off skinny, but years of playing baseball and weekly workouts have filled out his frame a bit. He is still skinny, but is more lean and muscular. He is tall, topping out at 6’3” and can be considered very “rangy”. He had dirty blond hair which he used to keep very long, but lately, he keeps it just above his ears, though he is thinking about growing it out again. He also keeps an earring in his left ear at all times.
At work, he prefers simple slacks and a button down shirt, but no tie…he hates dressing up. In his free time, he can be seen wearing either jeans and a t shirt or short; depending on the season. He hates shoes almost as much as he does dressing up, and when he can get away with it, he will wear either sandals or go barefoot.
-History-
Brian was the stereotypical bullied kid in school. He was awkward, considered "weird" and no matter what he did, he could never fit in. His parents were on the very lower end of middle class, and as such, were not able to give Kyle and his siblings everything they wanted, which included the latest in fashion and other "toys" that kids seem to find the most important. Still, they always encouraged their kids to do whatever makes them happy, and for Kyle that was two things...exercise and helping others. Even at a young age, he was always helping other kids, even to his own detriment.
Tired of being picked on for his skinny frame, Brian took up baseball and hiking when he started high school. By the time he graduated, his tall body had filled out with muscle and while he was still being picked on from time to time, his growth had put a stop to most of it. People had started to notice what kind of person he was, and he enjoyed a small spike in popularity. His skills on the baseball diamond earned him a scholarship to Kansas State University, where he obtained his BS in social work, before heading to another school to obtain his Masters. After graduation, Brian decided to stay in the town he was raised in, and that decision proved to be good after he was hired as the primary social worker at the same high school he graduated from.
